Tylertown Chrismtas Parade
For the second year,
Tylertown chose a patriotic
theme for its annual
Christmas Parade.  The town
is home to Co. A of the 155th
Infantry Bridgade and is
awaiting its troops
homecoming during
December.

The annual Christmas Parade in Tylertown was another fun time for the
American Legion Family.  Each year, Walthall County Post and Unit 56 invites
the state officers to come and lead the town's parade.  The event is hosted at
the home of Angela and Jack Kilcrease.  We had a great turn out this year, and
no one froze to death!  As a matter of fact, it did not get as cold as expected.

Leading the parade were State Commander Charles Scott, driven by Post 56
Senior Vice Bud Harvey in his John Deere Gator with the colors mounted on the
front of the vehicle.  Also in the vehicle were Post 56 Commander Max Luter and
Sergeant-at-Arms Lee Ward.

Department President Glenda Wheelis, with  husband Jim, were next in line.
Also in the parade were 1st Vice Shirley Turner and husband Charles, Past
Department President Janice Crosby and Junior Honorary President Sara Jo
Housley,  PDC R.V. Martin, PDC Charles Langley and Sharon, Seventh District
Commander Sam Stephenson, and Post 56 Junior Vice John Berlin Webb.

We all had a good time and look forward to doing it again next year on the 1st
Tuesday in December, which is December 5, 2006.  So mark your calendars!

Here are some photo memories of the event--
