| Department of Mississippi 2010 State Convention State Convention is scheduled for July 16-18, 2010, at Vicksburg. The host hotel is the Battlefield Inn in Vicksburg, Miss. Call the Battlefield Inn ($64 DOUBLE) at 601.638.5811. If no space available, ask hotel staff for nearby hotel chains around the Battlefield. Time is getting short, and we want each Post and Unit in Mississippi to be represented. Get involved in your Department! You’ll be glad you did. Items you should bring, as a Unit, include: Each Unit should bring at least three door prizes Unit Scrapbook (juniors and seniors), due by noon on Friday, July 16, for judging Unit Press Book, due by noon on Friday, July 16, for judging Anchor Club renewals, last chance for the 2009-10 year Membership turn-in for the new year, 2010-11 Copy of Resolutions for your delegates (extras will be available; one per delegation only) Cash Bash Tickets--last chance to join in the party on Saturday night! Admission is $10 per person (will all proceeds going to the Dept. Support Fund) who did not purchase a ticket. Lots of Unit members and delegates, including your juniors Dept. Program Chairmen and District Presidents: Year-End Reports (5 min. max.) and awards for Units MORE TO COME (as we think of things)! KEEP CHECKING BACK TO MAKE SURE YOU AND YOUR UNIT IS PREPARED FOR CONVENTION! |
